My stay at the Black Mountain Inn offered a unique historical experience within beautiful grounds. The charming decor resonated with my art-loving heart, making me feel connected to the past. Although the lack of breakfast options was disappointing, the overall atmosphere made up for it.

The charming decor with cozy, rich wooden accents is delightful. The lovely gardens made for a serene atmosphere, although the uneven stairs may challenge some seniors.
More accessible facilities would be appreciated.

The Black Mountain Inn has its charm, being a historical property with beautiful natural light and friendly staff. However, the room could use better upkeep, as cleanliness was a concern, and breakfast wasn’t what was promised. Overall, it was a mixed experience but had potential.

The beautiful grounds featured stunning 200-year-old trees, enhancing the peaceful atmosphere of the stay. Unfortunately, limited check-in hours made arrival tricky. multiple calls went unanswered. Additionally, there was a frustrating lack of clarity regarding breakfast offerings, which led to disappointment.

Charming historic inn with a delightful atmosphere and a delicious homemade breakfast. However, be prepared for thin walls and the loud train passing nearby. The unique room setup adds character, but the small bathroom can be uncomfortable for taller guests. A quaint experience overall!

June, the innkeeper, was quite the charmer. She upped our stay when we faced an issue with our room. We even got a cozy space with vintage decor, that was real nice.
It wasn’t exactly inexpensive, but it was still acceptable.

Had an amazing getaway with friends! The historical vibe and beautiful grounds were perfect for unwinding. We explored Goldfinch and enjoyed a concert nearby. Just a heads up for future guests, the place does have some quirks but it adds to the charm. Definitely plan to return!
The breakfast was quite disappointing. cold canned biscuits weren't appetizing at all. Not the best start to the day.

missingWrote a review on Jul 30historical charmcozy roomsinconvenient entry
The deep historical charm makes the building a standout, with well-preserved architectural details that enhance its character. Cozy rooms equipped with updated bathrooms offer comfort after a long day of exploring.
Inconvenient entry with no ramp for luggage and a gravel walkway could be challenging, especially for seniors. The absence of breakfast leaves a gap in expectations, as the listing suggested a setup. The clawfoot tub in the shower posed a safety risk, with no non-skid mat provided, and amenities felt bare-bones—no refrigerator or coffee-making options, which would have been helpful given the lack of food options onsite.
